Who is the Social Media Specialist?

Is the person who creates, manages, and harmonies the company's Social Media Marketing. Their work ranges from Social Media, Online Communities, Instant Messaging, Video Conference Platforms, etc. Their primary activity is to ideate and post content that can interest readers and encourage them to interact, trying to establish a dialogue with them. Therefore, they must have a good understanding of the characteristics and dynamics of Social Networks (among the most common: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). After identifying the best channels, the Social Media Specialist develops a communication strategy on various social media platforms and organises the editorial calendar.

Among the main activities that they will have to carry out are: managing company communication channels, collaborating in the ideation of Social Media Marketing strategies, defining SEO techniques for Social content (such as posts, stories, articles, etc.), monitoring online communities and their interactions (reviews, comments, requests for assistance/information, etc.), in order to increase and update the company's social presence.

Analytical Skills

Skills aimed at analysing and extracting, from a purely technical point of view and through appropriate tools and instruments, the main data and information related to the current status of a Website or other digital touch-points, with the aim of detecting problems and errors in SEO optics, potential criticalities and any areas for improvement for its optimisation.

Skills in SEO

Skills in Search Engine Optimisation require knowledge of all activities aimed at optimising, indexing, and ranking a Website or its content on major search engines (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, etc.), in order to appear among the top results on SERP (Search Engine Results Page) and increase organic traffic volume. To achieve this, it is necessary to perform activities such as analysis, keyword research, identification of the target audience, optimisation of meta tags, meta descriptions, and alt text, etc.

Content Marketing Skills

Defining an effective Content Strategy by conceiving, creating, publishing, and updating digital content for websites, blogs, landing pages, social networks, etc., in order to generate interest and stimulate engagement among users. These contents will then be monitored through appropriate tools to detect the performance results of the adopted strategy. Furthermore, knowledge of the main online sources for monitoring themes, trends, interests, etc. is required for the development of an effective and contemporary content strategy.

Ability to use CMS

Knowledge and use of the main CMS (Content Management System) for the management and publication of textual and graphic contents for website pages, blog posts, etc. Among the main CMS to know: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, MediaWiki, ExpressionEngine, Magnolia, HubSpot, Tilda and Wix.
Knowledge and use of the main Social Media Management Tools, such as: Hootsuite, Buffer, Zoho Social, Sprout Social, etc.
